Keyboarding & typing

Grade 3 · Coding · Free lesson

Hi there! Today we will learn how to type on a keyboard with super posture and easy hand shapes.

Typing is a great skill for coding. When you type, you must sit up straight and tall. Keep your feet flat on the floor to help your body stay balanced.

Your hands should float like soft clouds above the keys. Keep your wrists straight and do not let them rest on the desk. This keeps your hands happy and fast.

We place our fingers on the home row keys. Your left fingers sit on A, S, D, and F. Your right fingers sit on J, K, L, and semicolon. Your thumbs rest gently on the long space bar.
