Hello! I am Studyfin, your friendly tutor. Today we will learn how to make a simple set of steps to get a job done!
An algorithm is a list of steps. We follow these steps in order to do a task, like brushing our teeth.

Order matters in coding. If you put the steps in the wrong order, the plan will not work.
When we plan, we must think of every single step. If we skip a step, our computer robot gets lost.
✏️ Worked example
Let us make a step-by-step plan to wash a dirty dog. We want to do this in the correct order.
- First, get the dog and put them in the tub.
- Second, wet the dog with warm water.
- Third, rub the shampoo into the dog's fur to make bubbles.
- Fourth, rinse all the soap off with clean water.
- Fifth, dry the wet dog with a big towel.
