Hello! Let's learn how to write clear, strong sentences today. It is fun to share our ideas!
A good sentence needs to be clear. It must have a subject and a verb. The subject is who or what the sentence is about. The verb is the action.

We must focus our writing. We do not want our sentences to run on and on. We use a capital letter at the start. We use a period at the end.
We also need to edit our work. This means we look for mistakes and fix them. We check our spelling and our punctuation to make our writing perfect.
✏️ Worked example
Let us fix this messy sentence: "the happy frog jump high"
- First, find the start of the sentence. The letter 't' in 'the' must be capital. We change it to 'The'.
- Next, check the action word. A frog is just one animal. So, we change 'jump' to 'jumps' to match.
- Then, look at the end of the sentence. It needs a punctuation mark. We add a period at the end.
- Now, read the new sentence: 'The happy frog jumps high.' It is now clean, clear, and correct!
