When you give a presentation, your body and your voice tell a story. You want your audience to listen and understand you easily.
First, make eye contact. Look at different people in the room. This makes your listeners feel important and keeps them interested.
Next, watch your speaking rate and volume. Speak slowly so words do not jumble together, and speak loudly enough for the back row.

Let us practice presenting! Imagine you are sharing a report about your favorite animal, the sea turtle. How can you present this information clearly?
- First, stand up tall and plant your feet. This helps you breathe well and keep a steady volume.
- Look at three different spots in the room. Look left, look center, and look right to make eye contact.
- Take a deep breath. Speak slowly, as if you are telling a story to a friend.
- Say your first line: 'Sea turtles travel thousands of miles.' Use a strong, clear voice so everyone can hear you.
