Read this short passage: "Mia and Leo love sports. Mia plays soccer on a grassy field. Leo plays basketball on an indoor court. Both sports require a ball to score goals." Let us compare and contrast Mia and Leo's sports step by step.
- Step 1: Look for comparison clue words. The word 'both' tells us how the sports are alike.

- Step 3: Look for differences. Mia's sport is played on a grassy field, while Leo's sport is played on an indoor court.
