Divide 12 balloons into 3 equal groups. How many balloons are in each group?
- Identify your total dividend, which is 12 balloons.
- Identify your divisor, which is 3 groups.
- Share the 12 balloons one-by-one into the 3 groups.
- Count the balloons in one group: you will find exactly 4 balloons in each group.
- Write down your final math sentence: 12 ÷ 3 = 4.
