Hello scientist! Today we will learn about mixtures, solutions, and how to define new words.
A mixture combines two or more things. You can easily see and separate the parts in trail mix.

A solution is a special mixture. Context clues in a sentence help you find the meaning of new words.
Check a digital dictionary for dis·solve. It has two syllables: dis-solve. It means to mix completely.
In a solution, one substance spreads evenly through another. You can no longer see the separate parts.
