Electricity and magnetism are closely related. When electricity flows through a wire, it actually creates an invisible magnetic field around that wire.
We can build an electromagnet by wrapping a wire around an iron nail. When we turn on the electric current, the nail becomes a strong temporary magnet!
Just like poets use line lengths to control the pace of a poem, scientists use the number of wire loops to control the strength of an electromagnet. More loops mean a stronger magnetic force!

Analyze how changing the number of wire coils from 10 to 50 affects the strength of an electromagnet, and explain the science behind it.
Identify the change: We are increasing the number of wire coils wrapped around the core from 10 to 50.
Analyze the effect on the electric current: Each loop of wire carries electric current, which generates its own small magnetic field.
Evaluate the total force: When we bundle 50 loops together instead of 10, the magnetic fields from each loop add up.
Conclude the result: The electromagnet with 50 coils will be much stronger and able to pick up heavier magnetic objects.
