Our government is split into three parts. We call these parts branches. Each branch has its own special job to do.
The Legislative branch is Congress. They write and vote on new laws. This branch helps make the rules for our country.
The Executive branch is led by the President. This branch signs laws and makes sure people follow them.
The Judicial branch is the court system. The Supreme Court is the highest court. They decide if laws are fair.

Explain how a new rule about school lunches gets created, approved, and checked using the three branches of government.
- First, we look at the Legislative branch. Congress writes a bill to offer free fruit to all students.
- Second, we look at the Executive branch. The President signs the bill to make it an official law.
- Third, we look at the Judicial branch. If someone thinks the law is unfair, the Supreme Court checks it.
- Fourth, we explain the outcome. All three branches worked together to create, enforce, and check the law.
