Let's learn the words for the people in your family — la familia.
Parents: madre (mother) and padre (father). You can also say mamá (mom) and papá (dad).
Children and siblings: hijo (son), hija (daughter), hermano (brother), hermana (sister).
Grandparents: abuelo (grandfather) and abuela (grandmother). Together: los abuelos (the grandparents).
A clue: words ending in -o are for boys, -a for girls: hermano (brother), hermana (sister).

How do you say "my sister" in Spanish?
- "Sister" is hermana.
- "My" is mi.
- Put them together: mi hermana.
- So "my sister" = mi hermana.
