To ask "What time is it?" in Spanish, we say: "¿Qué hora es?" (keh OH-rah ehs). When we talk about the hours, we use the word "hora" (hour) or "horas" (hours).
For one o'clock, we say "Es la una" (ehs lah OO-nah). We use "es la" because "una" is singular. Let's watch the clock hand point to one!
For other hours, we say "Son las" (sohn lahss) because the hours are plural. For example, two o'clock is "Son las dos" (sohn lahss dohss).

How do you say "It is 3:00" in Spanish?
- First, look at the hour. The hour is 3.
- Next, decide if 3 is singular or plural. Since 3 is more than 1, it is plural.
- Now, choose the correct starting words. For plural hours, we always use "Son las".
- Then, translate the number 3 into Spanish. The number 3 is "tres".
- Finally, put them together to get: "Son las tres" (It is three o'clock).
