To write a story, we need to connect our ideas in a clear order. We use transition words to show what happens first, next, and at the end.

First, we start our story with words like 'primero' (first) — pronounced pree-MEH-roh. This tells the reader that the action is just beginning.

Next, we keep the story moving using 'luego' (then) — pronounced LWEH-goh. This connects our starting action to the next event.

Finally, we wrap up our story using 'al final' (at the end) — pronounced ahl fee-NAHL. This lets our reader know the story is finished.

✏️ Worked example

Write a short three-step story in Spanish about preparing breakfast using our transition words.

Step 1: Start with the first action. Use 'Primero' (First). 'Primero, yo como una manzana (First, I eat an apple).'
Step 2: Add the middle action. Use 'Luego' (Then). 'Luego, yo bebo leche (Then, I drink milk).'
Step 3: Finish the story. Use 'Al final' (At the end). 'Al final, yo limpio la mesa (At the end, I clean the table).'
Step 4: Put it all together to form a complete, flowing Spanish paragraph!
