Hello! I am Studyfin, your learning buddy. Today we will learn how to listen closely and follow steps!
Active listening means focusing on the speaker. You use your ears, eyes, and mind. Then, you can ask questions to understand better.

When you get directions, repeat them in your head. This helps you remember the steps in the right order.
If you are not sure what to do, stop and ask. Asking a clear question helps you get the right details.
✏️ Worked example
Imagine your teacher says: 'First, write your name. Next, color the star yellow. Last, cut out the star.' How do you follow these steps?
- Listen carefully to all three steps before you start.
- Say the steps in your mind to make sure you know the order.
- First, write your name at the top of the paper.
- Next, pick up your yellow crayon and color the star.
- Last, take your safety scissors and cut the star out.
