Hi! I'm Studyfin, your tutor. Let's learn how to gather information and lock it into your memory!
When you study, you gather facts from books, videos, or class. To truly understand this information, you must organize it. This helps your brain make sense of what you learn.

One great way to organize facts is by grouping them. Your brain loves patterns! When you group similar items together, your memory can find them much faster.
Another powerful tool is using active recall. Instead of just reading your notes over and over, cover them up and try to remember them. This builds strong pathways in your brain.
Imagine you gathered notes on five animals: eagle, shark, bear, owl, and whale. How can we organize this information so it is easy to understand and remember?
- First, look at the list of animals to find similarities.
- Next, group the animals that live in similar places.
- Put the eagle and owl in a group called 'Air'.
- Put the shark and whale in a group called 'Water'.
- Put the bear in a group called 'Land'.
- Now, you have three clear groups. This makes the information much easier to remember!
