The word for red is 'hóng sè' (红色). The word for circle is 'yuán xíng' (圆形). When we put them together, we get 'hóng sè de yuán xíng' (红色的圆形).
Now let's try blue and square! Blue is 'lán sè' (蓝色). Square is 'zhèng fāng xíng' (正方形). Together, they make 'lán sè de zhèng fāng xíng' (蓝色的正方形).

Imagine you see a green triangle. Let's figure out how to say 'green triangle' in Mandarin Chinese step by step!
- Find the Mandarin word for the color. Green is 'lǜ sè' (绿色).
- Find the Mandarin word for the shape. Triangle is 'sān jiǎo xíng' (三角形).
- Connect the color and shape using 'de' (的) in the middle. This links them together.
- Put it all together: 'lǜ sè' + 'de' + 'sān jiǎo xíng'.
- Say your complete phrase: 'lǜ sè de sān jiǎo xíng' (绿色的三角形)!
