Greetings & introductions

Grade 3 · American Sign Language · Free lesson

Hi! Let's learn how to say hello and introduce ourselves in American Sign Language!

In ASL, we use hand signs to talk. To say hello, wave your hand near your head like a friendly wave.

sign language

To sign 'MY', place your flat palm against your chest. This shows something belongs to you.

Sign 'MY' = Hand to Chest

To sign 'NAME', tap two fingers on top of two fingers twice. It looks like making a small 'X' shape with your fingers.

Sign 'NAME' = Tap Fingers Twice
