Hi there! Today we are going to learn how to ask questions in American Sign Language using your face!
In American Sign Language, your face does a lot of the talking. When you ask a question, your eyebrows must move to show what kind of question it is.
For questions that can be answered with a simple 'yes' or 'no', you raise your eyebrows. You also tilt your head forward just a little bit.
For questions that start with words like Who, What, When, Where, or Why, we do the opposite. You squeeze your eyebrows down and tilt your head slightly.

Imagine you want to ask your friend two questions. First: 'Are you hungry?' Second: 'What is your favorite food?' Let's break down how your face should change for each question.
Identify the first question type: 'Are you hungry?' can be answered with a simple 'yes' or 'no'.
Apply the rule for Yes/No questions: Keep your eyebrows raised up high while you sign 'hungry'.
Identify the second question type: 'What is your favorite food?' starts with the question word 'What'.
Apply the rule for Wh- questions: Lower and furrow your eyebrows while you sign 'favorite food what'.
